Reasons why homosexual couples should not be allowed to married

  1. Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control.
  2. Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can't legally get married because the world needs more children.
  3. Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
  4. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if Gay marriage is allowed, since Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.
  5. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are property, blacks can't marry whites, and divorce is illegal.
  6. Gay marriage should be decided by ...

Depression, panthers and Zoe

Been struggling with depression lately. It’s a bummer. I know I’m depressed, although i’ve little motivation to break out of it and do something… I kind of go into a totally nonchalant mood and do only what’s necessary… I’m not entirely sure what’s causing it. Certainly the constant cashflow woes are not helping at all. I owe money to too many people, and too many people owe me money. It would be nice to start with a clean slate again, alas that’s never going to happen unless someone kicks the bucket, I buy ...

Collision Course

Having been woken at 5:30am by something random that I cannot fathom, I find myself pondering the possibility that the path I’m on puts me on a collision course for something nasty.

Yes folks, I’m getting the distinct impression that living in London, and working for an ISP is going to burn me out.

Mostly because at the moment, cash is not really flowing… it’s kind of being introduced to my bank account and then doing a Take That and splitting up and going in various directions… some bits more successfully than others.

It’s frightening ...

Feck... Electronic Graffiti...

Okay, so you’ve successfully succeeded in pissing me off this morning.

So here I was about to goto bed, after spending the night playing The Simpsons Hit and Run, when I stopped to check my email.

Lo and behold, I got a nice little automated email from the peeps at Remote Assesment telling me I’d been defaced.

So a quick call to [theo] (who’s w00t on notnet), who did some analysis and shit, and discovered that a forum I was running for someone else had a slight vulnerability which allowed the defacement to happen. Suffice to say ...

*giggle*

GotHatesAmerica.com has audio files from a very interesting debate between the Rev. Phelps (Booo) and Rev. Rankin (Yay!).

I like they way that Phelp’s opening statement is just blown away entirely by Rev. Rankin’s.

Todays stupidity at it's peak...

[http://news.zdnet.co.uk/internet/security/0,39020375,39148215,00.htm|Here’s an example] of how NOT to handle a DoS attack.

For those of you not in the know, a DoS (Denial of Service) attack is, crudely, where you flood someone’s connection or service with meaningless data or random requests respectivly, effectivly, denying access to the service, either because the network cannot withstand the amount of traffic being sent accross it, or because the service can’t handle that many requests and starts queueing them up or just wibbles and dies in wierd and creative reasons ...

Oh for fucks sake...

Okay, so this week has been especially shitty.

Several factors, that I’m not going to get into…

Suffice to say it’s getting shittier… I feel like live i’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards… Maybe I’m destined to feel like for the rest of my days… If this is the case, then I’m gunna start smoking again… Might as well feel shit properly…

Norty! But fucking hilarious!

This is a fine example of why you shouldn't accept binaries from people you barely know over the internet.

For those not in the know, BackOrifice is a trojan application. It allows people to control your system from accross the internet.

Urg! Remind me to COOK my food before attempting to eat it… :/

Anyway, this has been keeping me occupied, between bouts of severe heaving, retching and coughing at the side of the big porclain telephone usually found in the bathroom.

Recipie for a tasty evening!

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 rashers of bacon
  • 2 Waitrose Specialty Sausages (I used the Paprika variety)
  • 1 Small Onion
  • a handful of button mushrooms
  • Cheese!

Method:
Put the sausages under a grill.
Put the bacon into a headed frying pan (no oil, the bacon will leak oil and you can cook it in it’s own juices… mmmm). Once slightly browned, take out and put to one side (on a plate preferably).
Peel and chop the onions, and slice the mushrooms thinly, and put a bit of oil in the pan and fry untill the onions are all floppy. Take ...

Brain usage (Yes I have one)

Your Brain Usage Profile
Auditory : 53%
Visual : 46%
Left : 58%
Right : 41%

This is an amazingly accurate summary of how I work...:
Richard, you are mildly left-hemisphere dominant while showing a slight preference for auditory processing. This overall combination seems to indicate a well-working blend of logic and judgment and organization, with sufficient intuition, perception and creativity to balance that dominance.

You will at times experience conflict between how you feel and what you think which will generally be resolved in favor of what you think. You will find yourself interested in the practical applications of whatever material you have ...

How thoughtful!

Well I’ve seen it all now. The Nigerian scams are not so Nigerian anymore… They’re getting charitable!

I don’t often take note of spam, it rarely bothers me, however I do check and clean out the mail filters and read the odd one in case there’s the odd mail that someone cannot be arsed to auth or is a mailing list or newsletter of some shite… anyway this was found in the queue today (Original mail is in italics interspaced with my comments):
